The southern end of Gratwicke Road is characterised by Victorian townhouses with sugared almond facades. This apartment is formed from the upper two floors of an attractive house, so it shares the communal entrance with just one other property. Stepping up to the flat, it has clearly been renovated and styled by those with a refined eye for colour and interiors to create a space which feels both homely and contemporary. Natural light filters in through plantation shuttered windows from east to west, and there are versatile rooms for relaxation, dining and entertaining. What’s more, this property is completely vegan friendly, with all furnishing, toiletries and cleaning products animal ingredient free, and bought with the environment and sustainable living in mind.
A real home from home, there are two generous reception rooms to include an elegant dining room with space to seat six, and there is a sumptuous sofa bed within the living room should you require guests to stay – although this will be by prior request and negotiation only. A flat screen TV with sound system and complementary WiFi is in place for evenings in with a streaming service, although there is plenty to entertain you nearby – pop out to the Whiskey Rooms, Pizza Face or Yamu Yamu less than a minute away. There are some great hot spots in Worthing to keep you occupied; The Vegan Street Food Company is just a six minute walk and serves an array of tasty options. The cosy but decadent Wine and Reason boasts an incredible selection of mouth-watering wines and tapas. If you are looking for a cocktail before dinner, look no further than the Rocking Horse Cocktail Club, where you can find movie themed drinks, all made and mixed in house by their artistic mixologists.
Streamlined in deep navy with glistening quartz worktops, the kitchen is inviting, with every appliance you could need to whip up a delicious meal. While you are never more than a few minutes from a fresh bake, loaf or ground coffee in town, there is a state-of-the-art Nespresso machine for an immediate caffeine hit first thing before you set out to explore for the day. There is a good range of crockery, glassware, cutlery, cooking utensils and pans, plus tea, coffee and milk will also be provided. Should you need anything in particular, or have any special dietary requirements, please ask and we will make every effort to accommodate.
The shower room is on trend in shades of urban grey, using large scale wall tiles around a roomy cubicle with a rainfall shower head. Premium toiletries and fresh fluffy towels are provided, as are a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board, so you only need to pack-light for your stay.
Two beautiful king-size bedrooms can be found peacefully positioned on the top floor with plantation shutters to block the light for weekend lie-ins. Each bed has a deep hybrid mattress dressed in fine quality cotton linens, with plump pillows and season appropriate duvets, so whatever time you fall into bed, you can ensure a truly restful night’s sleep.
